Colourist & Colour Engineer

Zain is in-house Colourist. He leads the Colour Department whilst setting the standard for grades across our work.

Zain’s love for colour began as a photographer, in his formative years - before moving into on-set and in-post production, which is where he learnt first-hand knowledge of colour & image science and the interwoven relationship between production & the grade.

Since starting with DISAUTHORITY, he helped launch our post department comprising of Colour & VFX, developing bespoke workflows between the two. This has allowed for an interconnected and seamless approach to projects that go through Finishing Post with us.

His love for all things colour constantly drives him to engage in research forums and talks, when he isn’t in sessions - learning creative and innovative ways to approach his work.

Zain works across the breadth of the moving image - from shortform (commercials, music videos, TVCs and branded content) to longform (feature film, shorts and artists’ moving image). He has graded Digital, Film (S8mm / 16mm / 35mm) and Video/Tape-Based projects.

He is available for remote grades, or hybrid-attended (grade in-suite, colourist remote).
