Marcus Hundsnes
CEO
Marcus is the founder and CEO of DISAUTHORITY. After dropping out of high school with the dream to make films, he established the brand when he was 16 in his home country of Norway. Over the next 7 years he worked a range of jobs through the brand, such as corporate editing and freelance photoshop, whilst working two full-time jobs to save up for film school.
Marcus moved to the UK in 2021 to study at MetFilm School, where he met Zain Haris and Raiyan Chinoy and reformatted the company to fit a new goal - high-end post production. Towards the end of his film school tenure, he met Maria Shevtsova and the production department of DISAUTHORITY was formed.
The company quickly grew, going from operating out of a 90sqf shed in his grandmother’s garden with 2 employees in 2023 to a 2500sqf office in Croydon with 12 employees in a span of a year.
While leading the company, Marcus has worked as a post producer, gaining over 70 credits across narrative projects of short and long form, including a short starring Javier Bardem.
Marcus is also a prolific film producer, having led more than £500,000 worth of films across 8 short form projects, many of which have gone on to screen at and win awards at festivals such as BIFA-qualifying Bolton Film Festival, NEIFF and Sunrise Film Festival.
Beside DA, Marcus has set up the investment and holding company M+ and is currently developing a slate of media-oriented companies such as Bad Behaviour (launching January 2025), and DA Bangalore, a VFX hub for the company in central India (launching February 2025).
