Homonym is DISAUTHORITY’s 10th production. A proof of concept which we aim to develop into a feature film, Homonym is an ambitious story set against a backdrop of police negligence in the late 1990s, and inspired by the real-life account of a woman forced to request social housing because of inexplicable, dangerous occurrences within her home.

Shot between January 17th and January 19th 2025 on location at Sneath Studios in East London (courtesy of Scout Productions), Homonym was written and directed by Lily Howkins (“Doctors”, “Eastenders”), and stars Nykiya Adams (BIFA nominated for “Bird”), Anna Burnett (“Darkest Hour”, “Falling”), Tristan Sturrock (“Doc Martin”, “Poldark”) and Louis Martin (“Secret Level”, “The Sandman”).

Homonym is DISAUTHORITY’s 5th collaboration with Panavison.
